After Michelle’s childhood crush on Curtis, the two reconnected in their farm town of Tulelake, California. They went on many adventures: skiing, camping, tractor rides, surfing, rock climbing, and even swimming in irrigation pools together. Curtis knew that Michelle was a keeper and proposed to her on October 12, 2014. Michelle had always dreamed of an intimate beach wedding and Curtis of a surf honeymoon, so they bought plane tickets to beautiful Barbados and all of the pieces fell into place. On January 2, 2015, Curtis and Michelle were married on a beach in St. Lawrence Gap and spent the rest of the month catching waves around the island and enjoying the bright colors and loving culture of Barbados. The photo session was shot at the charming Bottom Bay and then on to one of the couple’s favourite corners on the South coast. Back in the real world, Michelle is preparing for pharmacy school while working as a technician and Curtis is still wishing he was in Barbados while he gets ready for another alfalfa hay farming season.
