Cuba is infectious and captivates everyone that visits, leaving a long lasting impression on the soul. The fading grandeur of it’s colonial colourful past and magnificent architecture,  the diversity of it’s animated people and of course the iconic classic cars from 1950’s. Havana is the beating drum, on every street corner one can hear rhumba and afro-Cuban jazz.  Cuba reminds me of being in a time warp disconnected and free from the outside capitalist world but behind the brave faces of the Cuban people there is an apparent feeling of struggle.  The most humbling memories are the ones of the endearing people I’ve met along the way. Tzina and Vasilis are both doctors originally from Greece but living in Germany. The charming couple visited Santorini for a romantic honeymoon getaway and to compliment such an escape they booked a suite at the stunning Canaves Oia. Tzina contacted me explaining that she was looking for a photographer with a particular style. I was delighted to be their first choice to capture this intimate occasion. We explored together the terraces of the beautiful hotel before venturing out into the town waiting for the iconic Santorini sunset. Tzina’s glamorous wedding dress was designed by one of the most highly acclaimed couturiers in Greece Celia Kritharioti.

Imran and MJ live in USA but decided to marry in the vibrant city of Istanbul Turkey, since MJ is of Turkish descent. The reached out explaining that they booked to stay at Andronis Luxury Suites Santorini and were looking fo a photographer. Explaining that they were planning their honeymoon. Regina and David always dreamt of visiting Venice and to participate at one of the famous masquerade balls happening in the city. They were very natural and engaging with camera as well as each other and a pleasure to  photograph. We explored the endless charming corners and canals of Venice capturing many of its diverse and historical characteristics.

After Michelle’s childhood crush on Curtis, the two reconnected in their farm town of Tulelake, California. They went on many adventures: skiing, camping, tractor rides, surfing, rock climbing, and even swimming in irrigation pools together. Curtis knew that Michelle was a keeper and proposed to her on October 12, 2014. Michelle had always dreamed of an intimate beach wedding and Curtis of a surf honeymoon, so they bought plane tickets to beautiful Barbados and all of the pieces fell into place. On January 2, 2015, Curtis and Michelle were married on a beach in St. Lawrence Gap and spent the rest of the month catching waves around the island and enjoying the bright colors and loving culture of Barbados. The photo session was shot at the charming Bottom Bay and then on to one of the couple’s favourite corners on the South coast. Back in the real world, Michelle is preparing for pharmacy school while working as a technician and Curtis is still wishing he was in Barbados while he gets ready for another alfalfa hay farming season.
